Une noce ensoleillée et moite pour Blandine et moi

Un jour ensoleillé en août dans le sud de la France, Blandine et moi, on est devenu mari et femme et aussi deux pintes de sueur. Ou bien dit-on femme et mari etc… ? En tout cas, un couple marié humide. 26 août, 2016. Une date qui restera dans l'histoire. Celle que j’ai l'intention d’écrire. Une cérémonie civile simple à la mairie de Ste Colombe, un petit village près de Lyon.

Nous voilà maintenant, après l'événement : Blandine et moi et le clan Chavas en dehors de la Mairie de Ste Colombe. Le clan Chatterji ne pouvait pas venir.  Nous avons l'intention d'avoir un mariage dans un temple en Inde pour partager un moment avec eux.

Mais les graines de cette occasion mémorable ont été plantées quelques mois plus tôt.

A sweaty, sun-shiny wedding for Blandine and Me

On a sunny August day in the South of France, Blandine and I became man and wife and a couple of pints of sweat. Or should that be wife and man and whatever? At any rate, a moist married couple. 26th August, 2016. That is the date that will go down in history. The one I still intend to write. A simple civil ceremony at the town hall of Ste Colombe, a little village on the outskirts of Lyon.

Here we all are, after the event: Blandine and I and the Chavas clan outside the Mairie of Ste Colombe. The Chatterji clan could not make it. We intend to have a temple wedding in India for them.

But the seeds of this momentous occasion were planted several months earlier.
